Cardiff es la capital de Gales (Reino Unido) y la más importante. No es una ciudad grande por lo que puedes ir andando de una zona a otra, además cuenta con numerosas calles peatonales en el centro lo que lo hace mas cómodo. Tiene menos de 400.000 habitantes y cuenta con todo tipo de servicios y actividades culturales. Los romanos parece que también la vieron así pues construyeron en ella una de sus fortalezas que ahora se conoce como el Castillo de Cardiff y del cual hablaremos mas adelante!

Do you know that Cardiff is the capital of Wales and the most important?. Cardiff it's not a big city so you can walk from one area to another one. Also there are lots of pedestrian streets in the center which makes it more confortable. It has fewer than 400.000 habitants and it has all kinds of services and cultural activities. The Romans also saw this because they built one of its strenghts taht is now known like Cardiff Castle. Which we will talk later.

El medio de trasporte que usamos para llegar a Cardiff fue el coche. Como es muy díficil dejar el coche en el centro de la ciudad y se pierde bastante tiempo, optamos por el Park&Ride. Para los que no recuerden que es un Park&Ride: en las ciudades mas importantes o visitadas de Inglaterra es típico dejar el coche en un gran parking a las afueras de la ciudad e ir en bus al centro. Este en particular fueron 3 pounds por coche (pagas en el bus). Os dejo el enlace con la información de los Parks and Rides de Cardiff porque no todos tienen los mismos horarios! Pincha aquí.

The transport we used to go to Cardiff was a car. Because of is quite difficult to leave the car in the center town, and you will lose lot of time. So we opted for the Park&Ride. If you don't remenber what was it, it is a parking in the bigest and most visited cities of England outside the center. You will be able to leave your car here, and take a bus to go to the center. It cost 3 pounds per car, and you have to pay in the bus. Here I leave us the link with the information about Park&Rides in Cardiff because they have differents shedules.(up)

El castillo de Cardiff: Se encuentra en Castle Street, al final del High Street una calle peatonal céntrica. Es lo más relevante de Cardiff por lo que si vas, no te lo puedes perder. El precio de visita del castillo es 12 pounds para adutos y 9 para niños (hacen descuento a jubilados y estudiantes). Dentro del precio está incluida una audio-guía. Te aconsejo que no veas la película que te ponen al principio, no vale la pena y por supuesto deberás subir a sus murallas, la vista de Cardiff es impresionante!. Cardiff Castle: It´s located in Castle Street, at the end of High Street (pedestrian street) in the center of the city. It is the most relevant thing in Cardiff. So if you went to Cardiff, you Should visit it. The Castle tour price is 12 pounds for adults and 9 for children. (discount to students and pensioners). In the price is included an audio-guide. I advice you don,t see the movie that you can see at first. not worth it. Of course you have to climb its walls. the views are wonderful. More info about the Castle (shedules, rates, location..) Ayuntamiento y Natural Museum de Cardiff: Está abierto de martes a domingo y su entrada es gratuita! se trata de un museo de historia natural y arte tanto de Gales como del resto de Europa, e incluye la que está considerada mejor colección de arte impresionista después del Museo de Orsay de París.

The Town Hall and Natural Museum of Cardiff: it is open tuesday to sunday and it is free. It is a museum of natural history and art from Wales and the rest of Europe. It includes what is considered the best collection of impressionist art after the Orsay Museum in Paris.

Cardiff Bay: Bahía de Cardiff. Puedes llegar aquí caminando unos 30 minutos desde el centro. Consiste en un paseo marítimo donde encontramos la Asamblea Nacional de Cardiff, el Centro Milenio, el edificio Pierhead, numerosas atracciones, tiendas, restaurantes...

Cardiff Bay: You can arrive here walking for 30 minutes from the center. It is a promenade where you can find the National Assambly of Cardiff, the Millennium Center, the Pierhead Building,numerous atracctions, shops, restaurants...

Para comer buscabamos un sitio agradable, típico, en el centro y acertamos! Este restaurante en la calle St Mary dedicado a los pies nos encantó... Si vais no perdáis la oportunidad de probarlo! Recomendado por Tripadvisor.

For lunch we looked for a nice place in the center. We were right! This restaurant in St Mary dedicated of pies was wonderful. If you go to Cardiff don´t miss the opportunity to try it. Recommended by Tripadvisor.

Hay dos calles principales donde se encuentran la mayoría de las tiendas. La primera de ellas St Mary street y por otro lado Queen street, ambas peatonales repletas de tiendas de todo tipo. Desde estas calles podemos acceder a los Arcades, que son unas galerías victorianas antiquísimas repletas también de comercios, y hay mas de una según la calle; Royal Arcade, Morgan Arcade, High Street Arcade...

Y por otro Hight street con un mercado artesanal, esta calle es la que baja del castillo de Cardiff hacia la bahía, muy bonita!

Importante el Mercado de Cardiff no lo dejéis pasar. Probar las galletas de su puesto de cookies. Deliciosas!

There are two means streets where we can find the most shops. The first one, St Mary Street, and the second one Queen Street. Both pedestrian streets, full of differents shops. From this streets we can access the arcades. they are a victorians galleries (very olders) full of shops as well. There are more than one galleries according to the street. (Royal Arcade, Morgan Arcade, Hight Street Arcade...)

on the other hand, Higt Street with a craft market. This street is the lowering of Cardiff Castle to the bay. Lovely!

It is very impotant to see the Cardiff Market! You have try the cookies in the cookie shop! it was delicious.
