La gente no me había hablado muy bien de Bristol como destino de interés turístico, pero la verdad que a mí me encanto! el ambiente, el día de sol que nos hizo los restaurantes, las tiendas...Me transmitió muy buenas vibraciones esta ciudad en general. Por eso en este post os cuento mi experiencia y espero que si vais, lo disfrutéis tanto como yo.
Many people hasn't told me very good about bristol as a destinaton for tourist interest, but the true is that I loved it. The atmosphere, the sunny day that it was, the restaurants, shops...This town in general transmited to me good vibrations. For this reason, in this post I will tell you about my experience and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have done it.
Bristol is one of most warm cities in United Kindom. It has two important universities: University College of Bristol and West Englan University. As a result there is lot of young people in this town. As was mentioned earlier this is a really life city and always has lot of cultural events for see. It isn't a small city but not too big so you can visit it walking. Th river Avon through this city and fill it with bridges, boats, and ports wich makes it quite lively with its many restaurants, shops and its promenade. The strangest thing of this city is that Bansky (an anonimous artist) has it as a canvas for his artwork!
Bristol se encuentra tan solo a dos horas en tren de Londres y un poco más si decides ir en bus. Los trenes son cada media hora y te dejan muy cerca del centro de la ciudad. En la estación Temple Meads. Por cierto una estación preciosa!
Bristol is just two hours by train from London and a litlle more if you decide to go by bus. Trains are every half hour and leave you very close to the city center, in Temple Meads station. Certainly a beautiful train station!
Lo primero que quiero destacar es que no te puedes ir de Bristol sin ver algunas de las obras de Bansky. Pero no te preocupes, las irás encontrando a medida que caminas por la ciudad. Bansky, autor anónimo que oculta su identidad a la prensa general nació en Bristol, y se dice que usa su arte urbano callejero para promover visiones distintas a las de los medios de comunicación. Si estas muy interesado en el tema puedes contratar tours de una hora que podrás encontrar en internet.

St Mary Church Radcliffe is said to be one of the best examples of gothic architecture in England. Many people confuse it with the cathedral but wait, we will talk about this later. The church is just 5 minutes walk from the station towards the port.
Un poco más adentrado en la ciudad, encontramos Queen Square. Una plaza con grandes Árboles que la rodean y en el centro, la estatua de William III. Un lugar perfecto para pasar un día soleado, sentarse, y disfrutar del espacio abierto. A su alrededor puedes encontrar muchos barecitos agradables.

Puerto y muelles de Bristol. Su nombre es Harbourside y está repleta de cafés, restaurantes, tiendas independientes y museos. Cuando el sol brilla es una meca para cientos de Bristolians que vienen a relajarse, a charlar mientras dan un paseo por las orillas del río Avon, o a comer en alguno de sus bonitos restaurantes. Aquí Podemos encontrar varias cosas interesantes. Un puente que como en casi todas las ciudades imita al Puente Milvio de Roma, repleto de candados! y el Brunel´s ss Great Britain que es un Barco enorme, con un museo en el interior el cual podrás visitar si tienes tiempo y te interesa el tema.

Catedral de Bristol. O también llamada Catedral De La Santísima Trinidad. Es uno de los monumentos más visitados de la ciudad. Pertenece a la iglesia anglicana. Su arquitectura es gótica y se encuentra en todo el centro de esta pintoresca ciudad. Si vas a Bristol no puedes prescindir de su visita!

Bristol Museum And Art Gallery. Tiene una gran variedad de salas y género de distintas épocas y artistas. Me impresionó la pinacoteca, muy bonita. Y el edificio en sí llama mucho la atención. Para los amantes del arte es muy recomendable.
It has a variety of rooms and genre from different eras, and artists. I was impressed by the Art Galerry, very nice. The building itself draws much attention. For art lovers it is higly recommended
University College of Bristol : Es una universidad pública del Reino unido. Está situada en el área de Cliffton, y tiene numerosos departamentos, algunos en diferentes edificios como el que vemos en la foto superior, que es ahora el departamento de música de la Facultad de Arte.

Clifton Village: De esta zona de Bristol, podríamos decir que es la zona de moda. Famosa por su ambiente, sus restaurantes en lo alto del monte, y sus tiendecitas. Una vez llegues aquí ve a The Clifton Arcade. son unas pequeñas galerías con mucho encanto, y algunas tiendas vintage.
En Bristol podrás encontrar tiendas por todos lados y muchas de ellas vintage, pero si lo que buscas es comprar en otro tipo de tiendas Cabot Circus será tu mejor elección. Un centro comercial que te dejará con la boca abierta!

Clifton village: Fuera de las galerías antes mencionadas encontrarás algunos restaurantes tan agradables que no podrás continuar sin pararte. Eso sí, si decides comer en esta zona espero que no tengas prisa, tienen un estilo bastante relajado pero merece la pena! El nombre de nuestra elección Saffron. Nos encantó! Los platos tenían muy buena pinta así que no pudimos resistirnos. Dato importante es que sirven desayunos todo el día, es perfecto para un Brunch o almuerzo-desayuno con huevos fritos, bacon, salchichas, beans...muy recomendable. Y si tienes la suerte de coger una mesa fuera y que te haga buen tiempo habrás dado con la tecla. Aquí las pruebas...

Of course, if you decide to eat in this area i hope you haven´t got hurry. because this restaurants have a relaxed style but worth it! The name of our chice was Saffrom. We loved it! the food was amazing. Important fact is that they serving breakfast all day. It is perfect for lunch or brunch. Highly recommended. I f you are lucky you will be able to get a table outside if the weather is nice as well
